Registration for our Fundamentals of US Law Course closes May 9th. To allow yourself time to get the textbook and prepare for the course, we recommend you register as soon as possible.
The six-week course introduces law students to the American legal system and the common-law method of case analysis. Students will study some of the most influential Constitutional Law cases to learn how to use case law, synthesize holdings, and predict legal outcomes. Our instructional design team and instructor Bill Fernholz have been working for many months to build a course that is both challenging and immersive, and that meets the high standards of Berkeley Law instruction.
This course is for:
- International lawyers who want to learn about the basics of the US legal system, but don’t currently have time for an in-resident LL.M. program.
- Prospective LL.M. students who want to get an early jump on their coursework.
